More about our speak: Dr. Aguayo is a wife, mom of two adopted children, and parent consultant for overwhelmed parents who are looking for support and solutions to navigate their parental journey. Her husband is Mexican and her kids are African American. She wrote her dissertation on Transracial adoption. She has a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Tennessee State University and hold a Ph. D. in Psychology from Capella University. Although she is thankful for her educational background providing valuable tools for the families she works with, it is her own journey as a parent that has been my greatest teacher.
